Although a beautiful and very well made bag, it seems much smaller than the photo. As you can see, I ordered it as a breastfeeding bag and I can't even put my paper folder in it sideways (that's how it lies without sticking out of the top of the bag). The pockets are strong, albeit small, barely fitting in a regular water bottle. Also this is a great purchase, I just wish it was bigger as I bought it to replace a large bag I needed to fit everything I need for nursing school. Not sure how this can be called a weekend bag as I'm pretty sure a pair of robes with a pair of shoes will more than fill this bag!
