We have a last mile problem in our house. Our modem and router are in the living room. We get a good signal in our bedroom, maybe 75 feet away. Our daughter's room is a dozen feet from ours but in an L so you can't get straight into her room. It has a bad signal and we tried many things, extensions, repeaters. and I thought this might be the answer, either amplifying or redirecting the signal or using them as a collector. My husband tried to set it up but couldn't get it to work. He said (googled) that he had to remove the antenna from our router for it to work. That doesn't seem quite right to me, and I don't want to damage or lose anything that works. To update. It turned out that the problem was a faulty cable. Revain will replace it and this review will be updated when a new cable becomes available. I will add that our extensions are 2.4 but the router is double 2.4/5.
