Review on ๐Ÿ“ž Panasonic KX TG5633B GigaRange Cordless Answering Phone by Jon Thibeault

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Mr Watson! Come here: I want you!

We have been fighting for a long time with our answering machine and our cordless telephones. offers better coverage than we've seen with 900MHz. or phones with a frequency of 2.6 GHz. Programmable handset calls are nice, if not reassuring. When a message arrives on the answering machine, a small ring flashes on each handset's aerial. This is a convenient way to remind you to receive messages. You can receive messages from any phone, and the phones speakerphone is loud and clear. Battery life is good. We call our boarding daughter every week and the volume with two handsets at the same time is good. Phone book entries can be made on one handset and transferred to others. However, remember that you shouldn't keep all of your eggs in this basket. Like most cordless phones, it will not work during a power outage, even if the phone line is still working. Panasonic makes a power supply for the base unit (KX-TCA200) with battery backup, but it's easier to ensure you always have an old-fashioned corded phone that doesn't require mains power. The manual is extensive, 62 pages long, and can be a little intimidating. You can start with the basics and move on to more advanced commands and features as needed. Overall, this is by far the most complex and rewarding combination of answering machine and cordless phones we've ever had.
