The first one I've bought from another seller. I bought my second one as a gift through Revain. Without boring you with details: I had never heard of EMTEC before buying it. I found out that they make quite a lot of items. (USB sticks, memory cards and cell phone accessories) I was skeptical as I didn't know them but most major retailers seem to have them. So I dared. I'm glad I did too! I take this thing with me everywhere. Once you understand how it works / get used to using it. When I go to a public place, I use the WiFi hotspot/router feature to provide some security while browsing. (I can also share private Wi-Fi as it works like a router) Any photos I take with my phone, I transfer them to this drive immediately when I get home or return to a hotel on vacation. If I ever lose my phone, I can rest assured that I still have my photos and not have to worry about securely erasing data from my phone. I suspect it will probably work with a WiFi camera too. I don't have one, but I would definitely use it if I had one! The other function is the exchange function. You can broadcast multiple movies, music and pictures to multiple users at the same time. Ideal for family car trips as you don't need an internet connection. It creates its own WiFi network that you can connect to via the app. I guess WiFi is a buzzword as I thought WiFi needed the internet. But I was wrong. (You must connect to an internet-connected WiFi network or connect an internet cable to access the internet). cozy. The only complication is that if you're using the router feature, setup is a bit confusing if you're doing it manually, but it can be set to automatic. It's a little harder to read, but English is listed and once you've read it all, it's not too bad. I have no complaints about the actual device yet. The best part is that I don't upload all my files to the cloud. I do not trust. It allows you to carry all your files with you and have some peace of mind knowing they won't be hacked.
