Functional and fun shirt UPF 30

This is the second Columbia women's long sleeve shirt I've bought this month and I've ordered a third. I've been looking for sun protection clothing for years and have never found one to wear more than once or twice at any price. When the first such shirt arrived (with the Collegiate Navy) I knew it was a shirt I would wear regularly and immediately ordered one in Isla from another supplier. I live in the very sunny high desert of New Mexico and am a photographer and gardener. This spring I was treated for a small skin cancer and some other precancerous lesions. My dermatologist recommended hats, sunscreen, and protective clothing. COLUMBIA Sportswear Omni-Shade UPF 30 is certified by the Skin Cancer Foundation. I can apply sunscreen in the morning and don't have to reapply it to the areas covered by my shirt every two hours. This is a functional shirt with two pockets that close with Velcro. The sleeves can be worn long with buttoned cuffs or rolled up as shown. It is easy to wash and dries quickly. It has a very valuable air outlet on the back. I would consider a medium sized shirt too big if I plan on wearing it buttoned up with nothing. But I will wear the shirt as a cape when I go out, over a tank top or t-shirt in the summer and warmer turtlenecks in the winter. This shirt is what I've been looking for for years and it fits my lifestyle perfectly. I love the colors I have so far (Collegiate Navy and Isla) and would have all the colors if I could afford it. ). It doesn't have UPF protection, but it's a cute hat that I wear for short trips, like running errands around town or lunching with friends. I'll wear the Columbia Women's Long Sleeve Bahama Shirt anywhere and everywhere. daylight hours. Five stars for a functional and beautiful product. Edited July 22, 2017: This summer I bought a total of four women's Bahama long sleeve shirts from Columbia in different colors: Isla, Tiki Pink, Collegiate Navy and Fossil. I only bought the first one because my dermatologist strongly recommended that I wear sun protection clothing. They've become my favorite shirts - lightweight, easy to wash and dry, lots of colors to choose from, sleeves that can be worn or rolled up, and comfy handy pockets. They are ideal for active women who are outdoors and need extra sun protection. Great for layering.
