Review on 📶 NETGEAR Orbi Ultra-Performance Home Mesh WiFi System - AC3000 Router and Two Satellite Extenders, Coverage up to 6,000 sq. ft., Speeds up to 3Gbps (RBK53) by Logan Tripp

If there was ever a product that exceeded my expectations, it was the Orbi AC3000 (3 Hub System). market) I chose the Netgear Orbi Wifi solution. My home is 5238 square feet and is divided into 2 floors. I also needed coverage in a large 2 1/2 car attached garage and a very large two story detached garage 80 feet wide by 32 feet deep (whose nearest corner is 50 feet from the nearest corner of my house). I know I asked these 3 orbi hubs to provide MUCH more coverage than advertised and I wasn't sure how well they would do the job. I placed the main router in the middle of my house on the ground floor. I placed the first satellite in my basement, next to the patio doors (not in the physical center of the basement, but in the most convenient spot to place them in the basement). I found the second (and last) companion in my workshop (part of a detached garage). The physical distance between the main router (on the ground floor of my house) and the hub (in my workshop) is around 75-80 feet. While I wasn't sure what kind of coverage I would get (with the main router and satellite) in my house, I wasn't sure about a separate garage (where my workshop is located). especially considering the distance and number of walls between the main router and the satellite (in the garage). I pay for 100Mbps download and 5Mbps download from my local cable provider. I've had the Orbi system for about 6 months now and regularly check the loading and unloading speeds in all parts of the house and detached garage. I was constantly fluctuating between 105 Mbps and 123 Mbps downloads in ALL parts of my house. I've been going from 85Mbps to 100Mbps constantly in my detached garage for the past 6 months! Download speeds almost always exceed 5 Mbps in ALL locations. Even in my wildest dreams, I didn't expect such amazing performance from this Orbi system. I'm covering an area that needs to be twice the manufacturer rating and the only thing limiting my speed is my cable company, not the Orbi system! Our son installed the system for us and found it easy to set up. Installation time (unpack to done) was 60-75 minutes. While I could buy 3 separate 5.4GHz multiband routers from Netgear or Linksys; Getting all three devices to work together seamlessly (like the Orbi system does) would be a logistical and technical nightmare. With the Orbi system, I can open my laptop and walk from the far corner of my house to the opposite far corner of my detached garage (and workshop) without losing signal. Shazam! Although this system is now available for a lot less money than I paid for it; If I had known how wonderful this system would work for me (at the time of my purchase), I would happily pay for it TWICE! Thank you Netgear for making Wi-Fi so easy in such a large area (my house and garage). and seamless.
