Good belts. The buckles are stamped (and thin) black painted metal so they may fade some color over time - we'll see. through the loops with little maneuvering to put the strap on but getting it back through the loops to take it off is difficult because the back of the metal end is wider than the front end so it catches on the fabric of the loops. A good bang on the top with a hammer and board can help flatten it out a bit, but I don't think that's the manufacturer's intention. However, webbing straps are just the thing for oldies of different waists!
