I bought this to keep my white Chromebook looking like new and I also didn't want to cover it with another color so I went with the transparent version. It's not entirely clear, it has a slightly matte appearance with a slightly rough feel. It comes in two pieces, with the top being a one-piece piece that snaps and snaps into place. There are grooves and holes on the bottom to allow for heat dissipation and cooling the case, with two rubber pads on the front and two flip-up feet to raise and tilt the back for better cooling and input. The four HP 14 pads are never used with the case. So if you don't want to carry your HP 14 in your case or bag and want to protect it, this is what you need, especially when you're not traveling, and even when you travel. It adds almost no bulk or weight, is easy to remove when needed, and fits in a pocket or case.
