My 4 year old son is showing interest in what day it is, what time of year it is etc. This calendar is a great way to learn about months, times, Years, weather, days of the week, numbers, time of day, etc. I wish they would pay attention and color the seasons the way the seasons are colored for the names of the months. If it fitted, it would make more sense and kids would absorb the information faster. The more meaning and context it has, the easier it is to understand and remember. But even so, it is well built, with solid wood, beautiful attractive flowers, beautiful rounded letters, and beautiful pictures depicting the weather and the seasons. My son loves it and goes to her often. This opens up many conversations about the weather, the seasons, the course of the year, birthdays and wishes, annual leave and memories of the past, etc. A very special part of early childhood acquisitions.
