I chose this as an option to use during power outages, especially during hurricanes. I was able to test this briefly when I lost some power as Dorian got closer. I've also used it occasionally when I've had hot flashes and I just need a little extra cooling to help me sleep. It has decent airflow. I've used it occasionally at the same charge as before the storm, but haven't had time to check how long it's holding up right now. or place it on a table that is at the same height as where you want to blow the air. And it has a nice light on the side. So if you lose power you have the option to use the light in a pinch until you can get to a flashlight or light some candles. I also like being able to charge it with one of my external batteries or in the car since it's a USB cable.
