I have an 8 foot leg and a heavy wreath. I bought this adjustable hanger and it fits the door perfectly and extends to the length I need. The product adjusts up to 25 inches and claims it can hold up to 20 pounds. It can bear heavier weight if no extension cord is used. But the longer the hanger is extended, the less weight it carries. My 10 pound wreath has fallen repeatedly. The metal is not strong, and bending it to loosen or tighten the bottom knot (as instructed) will only tighten the extension temporarily. By repeatedly opening and closing a door on which a heavy wreath swings, the weak metal bends backwards, breaking the connection at the top knot and causing the bottom knot to connect. Do not use this hanger for heavy, oversized wreaths.
