I put this on my 2" hitch and tightened it with a socket wrench. I realized I had misplaced the plate and tried to remove the nuts. They moved about 1/2 turn and locked. (They didn't have cross threads. Nuts were 3/4" studded) bile threads. Nuts didn't turn one way or the other. I was able to remove the U-bolt by removing the hitch. I put it in a vise clamped and cut the nuts off with wire cutters.I hunted down the 1/2 thread found 2 nuts and put it back on the truck without the washers.If you buy this don't tighten more than 25ft or buy regular nuts .And there were no instructions.
