Good insulation, looks solid and a good conductor, but aluminum is brittle to work with.

Good insulation for high voltage, forget how soft and brittle aluminum wire is. This is great for quiet placement, but with long ends you're likely to break the connection point at least once. If your application requires multiple connections and reconnections, I would spend the extra money and go with copper.
