Review on New Wave Enviro Replacement Cartridge by Alex Jones

I wouldn't recommend this product and here's why. The old fashioned filter cartridge did its job perfectly and gave very tasty water. In 2017, the company changed the replacement filter cartridge. You can't see it from the inside anymore. It feels cheap and, worst of all, I don't think it does anything at all. We have a kettle with clean hot water that we fill with this filter and after replacing the cartridge we noticed a lot of scale that wasn't there before. We actually have pretty good city tap water, but it's harsh. I tested the hardness twice and found little to no difference between filtered water and plain tap water. The company says it removes all of these chemicals and pollutants, but does not publish or share its test results, even when requested. The company also has no certificates for this filter. I spent $80 to replace this filter and now of course I have to find another one from a different company. If you look at the reviews, you will see that about 75% of the hotels are five stars. I assume because they were all before 2017 when they changed the filter. I think the company is hiding something and I don't trust them anymore.
