First I would like to say that this antenna really works, the range with it on my Kenwood NX210 portable is great, people with their car radios could hear me better greater distance but there is one small detail that makes me want to keep using this antenna on the NX210, the base of the antenna is a little thick and rests on the channel knob, I had to remove the channel knob to thread the antenna when I want to use an antenna, I need to find a thin handle that works. I'll see if the antenna interferes with an older Kenwood laptop's grip. As I said, the antenna works.
