Review on ⌚ Men's Speidel Stainless Self-Adjusting Replacement Timepieces Watches by Joseph Stone

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The only watch strap I will ever use

When I was young, I was always enthusiastic about the Speidel Twist o Flex display. Mechanics interested me. When I was 16 my parents gave me a new Timex watch after doing all the fascinating ads with John Cameron Suasi (sp?) showing all sorts of random glitches their watch was subject to and running accurately . The watch I got had the standard two-piece boring leather strap. On my next shopping spree at a brand new mall, I saw a display of metal bands at a jewelry store. Long story short, I bought my first Speidel watch strap and I absolutely loved it. Appearance, comfort, mechanics, everything. It was the late 1960s. I am now 65 years old and I have NEVER owned a watch that didn't have the original strap replaced immediately with a Speidel Twist-o-Flex strap. I was gifted a digital watch by the president of a well-known luxury watch manufacturer after I rescued their 1975 watch showroom. The watch was a gift after we saved their show from failing due to a technical issue that was their fault. Two weeks later, the watch was shattered into a dozen pieces in a very minor impact at our store. That same night I went to the store and bought another Timex. I took the Speidel strap from a bunch of broken watches and put it on a new Timex. In all these years I have NEVER broken a Speidelband.
