I've had my Bissel Crosswave Pet Pro for about 5 months. I cleaned the cross shaft and roller brush very well after each use. I decided to buy a box of replacement roller brushes and throw away the ones that came with the cross shaft the day I bought them. Well I received this item and put in a new brush and the new product worked fine for about 4 minutes and I noticed a strange noise and smell coming from Bissel. Then I noticed that the noise and smell was coming from the roller brush and teeth (opposite). side of the push/release button), the inside of the roll has started to melt. I immediately took out the faulty roller thinking maybe I hadn't put the roller in correctly, then I replaced the other roller and after about 5 minutes returned for a good cleaning, the 2nd roller started doing the same. I find the plastic very cheap and hope I didn't break the cogs on my fairly new crossword. If you are looking for the right thing, do not buy this product. Go for the Bissel brand, not this model. I also noticed that the Tadd roller brush is shorter than the original Bissel brush. Hope that helps
