****UPDATE******** I am changing this to a 1 star rating. I've only had this a day, and after a very short period of plugging it in, the USB port gets incredibly hot. Burning when touched. This causes the lights to flicker and go out. I thought maybe that was the box I was using, so I tried a different one. The same situation when after a short time (half an hour) it got incredibly hot. This is very dangerous and can cause a fire. It doesn't explain if you need to have a special box for that. Nevertheless, the corresponding plugs and devices had to be installed. It's not safe to ignite. I am very disappointed and will look into return options. I live in a small town house with very little space for anything. I haven't had a Christmas tree in years either because I have three cats that like to climb trees and seem to think it's their personal toy. I just received it today and so far so good. I put the Christmas tree on the buffet table that I have (my cats are not allowed on the counters or tables). Setup was extremely easy. The instructions were meaningless, but it was easy enough to figure out. It had two screws that you need to put in the tree stand and pole. The screw was too big to fit into the base of the tree stand, but I was able to fit it into the post. I think if you put it on the floor with pets or kids the durability would be questionable. But in the area where they can't move the cab, everything seems fine. It has many settings and is pretty cute. I'm happy to "decorate" this year. I could try stealing jewelry here, but it might try my luck. For the price I paid on Black Friday I thought it was a good deal.
