Review on Ultra Web Cartridge Filter Wet Pickup by Shawn Reiter

This is a great filter element upgrade over the standard paper filter which disintegrates when wet and is covered in thick dog fur. I have an older 2003 Lowes Exclusive Shop Vac (6 gallons, 3 peak horsepower) that has a list of old Exclusive Lowes Shop Vac filters on the side. Shop Vac's website does not list these filters at all. The model number of the exclusive Lowes Shop Vac is also not printed anywhere on the side. Damn. I had to match the filter part numbers from the Lowes website to get an almost identical Shop Vac part number. I was so close to buying a new Shop Vac because I thought the old filters were no longer made. After some careful research and reasoning, I found that nearly all Shop Vac brand 5-8 gallon units for the last 15 years use almost the same filter and only the part numbers have changed over time. Here is what I found: Cartridge Filter 09704 = Lowes Item #9704 Model #9030411 = Shop Vac 9030400 Type X (9035000 Type X), I decided to buy this Ultra Web cartridge filter. Happy to say it fits as an OEM. For the price it's definitely worth it and makes the Shop Vac usable again. Wow!
