Not even close. This brand with this coating is the best nonstick coating we have ever had. AW (Tough Woman) loves to cook with him. We try not to overheat it, but it cooks really well at a slightly lower temperature than most other nonsticks. On our gas range, we never heat it above 1/2 temperature and we never heat it dry. The food comes out very good. Cleans like a dream. Frying pans ensure even cooking over the entire surface. Both my kids want this when they go. You will not regret it. A NOTICE. There are different grip options. We opted for a Bakelite handle, which is ovenproof to over 400°C. We really like the handles and they never get hot when using the stove. (If you're putting it in a 400 degree oven, be sure to wear oven mitts.)
