Great DVD Player

Hello! This is based on watching 1 movie. So please update if I change my mind. The DVD player picture looks good. The sound is loud. And it will pick up where it left off if you leave the DVD there. The DVD played flawlessly. It was a store bought factory DVD. Good 9 inch screen. The resolution is much better than comparable ones. I'm not sure about the battery life yet. I was looking for portable DVD players for about a month before I bought this one. Thanks to others who reviewed this. In researching articles that are mostly positive, I found that some of them seem like garbage. Usually, when I look at the ratings of the negative reviewers, it seems like they bought a lot of things that they don't like. So I think if you are interested in an item that has mostly positive reviews then go for it. Update 1/4/12 My battery life didn't seem to last the advertised 6 hours. I don't know how long it took, it seemed like only half. It will be necessary to see how future charges fare. Kevinupdate 02/01/2012 I watch the player 3 times a day during the breaks from work. I watched about 15 full movies and 1 recorded DVD. Everything played great. The sound is very good and the picture is very good. You can also carry out all functions via the touchscreen. I never used the remote control. In addition, this is not a laptop, there is no time to wait for a launch. Just turn it on and it will boot from where you last left it while the DVD is still there. So you don't have to lose any time. About the battery life. I charge it every day so I'm still not sure how long it will last. Not sure if my previous comment on battery life is less than advertised as I would have forgotten to turn it off first. I will update if anything changes as I base my purchases on reviews from Amazon and would love to help others as well. I'll continue to use it a lot so I'll see how the DVD player holds up with continued regular use. I like it so much, that I'm thinking about buying a Sony portable Blu-ray player since I only need to buy regular DVDs with it. KevinUpdate 10/22/2012 Well it's been about a year and I've seen hundreds of movies on it. Still no problem.

Pros
  • It has a 9 inch (diagonal) high definition widescreen LCD, 180 degree swivel, flip screen
Cons
  • Obsolete model
