Very easy assembly. Peel and stick. I just wanted to hang it on the door to hang my car keys and masks when we leave the house. I decided it would look better with an underlay (plus it's easier to remove if we decide to move). Found some koa (I think) in my litter box, trimmed and sanded it down. I rubbed 5 coats of bearing oil, installed the hooks, and secured everything to the door with 2-sided silicone tape. The 3M foam tape on the hooks is strong and feels durable. The stainless steel is thick and stylish enough to stand out in the "public" area of the home. Top quality, I would buy again.
