I love the weight of this unit. The underside is a rubber that will stick to surfaces but should not leave marks on the wood. It feels well done. The metal is heavy. Easy to install clock charging cable (not included). . .The only reason it gets 4 stars vs 5 stars is that when you insert the watch charging cable into the black rubber mount, it goes too far into the rubber and sometimes you lose connection with the watch. If you put 2 nickels or 2 quarters behind the round watch charger, the charging cable is farther from the rubber edge and you now have a perfect connection with your watch. If you don't make this adjustment, your Apple Watch will slide down and the magnet won't be strong enough to hold the watch upright. All in all considering the quality of the product and the fact that it is so easy to fix I had to give it 4 stars.
