to be sure: 1.) It was the correct skid plate. 2.) No vehicle modifications required. I have been told this is the correct P/N and no changes are required. The body is fixed on each side above the rear axle. The procedure includes removing the inner housing mounting nuts and loosening the housing mounting screws. The problem is that the 2010 JK 2-Door HAS NO BODY MOUNTS at this point. Thus, there are no existing holes for attaching the cross carriage bracket. I was alone trying to figure out where to drill new holes to install the car's cross mount for the front of the muffler skid plate. The photos in the manual do not look like the underside of a 2010 Jeep JK Wrangler 2 Door. After drilling the mounting holes for the cross mount, I installed the mount leaving the screws very loose. At this point I was able to follow the instructions. However, after loosely reinstalling the rear bumper bolts, I was only able to install one of the three bolts that attach the skid plate to the vehicle's cross bracket at the front end of the skid plate. I've been working on this for over an hour. I was able to start one bolt but then the other 2 bolts would not fire. In desperation, I removed all parts from the jeep. I had the skid plate and bracket lying on a blanket and was trying to mount the skid plate to the vehicle's cross bracket. Again, I was only able to tighten one of the three screws. Turns out the holes in the bracket didn't line up with the welded nuts on the muffler skid plate! (DO YOU THINK THE MANUFACTURER WOULD PLACE THE HOLES IN THE MOUNTING BRACKET THIS DISTANCE FROM THE MATCHING HOLES IN THE SHIELD PLATE TO FIT?) If I hadn't already thrown away the box and packing materials, I would have returned this item to Revain.com. I had to enlarge the three mounting holes in the bracket and then start the installation again. Now that I could install the three screws through the mounting bracket into the skid plate, the installation took another 30 minutes or so. This is after spending 4 hours of my time trying to figure out why the instructions don't match my car and why the skid plate bolt bracket can't be installed. I strongly recommend Rugged Ridge OMIX-ADA to bring in good quality control staff. .
