My son has broken buckles on both hands. The tires that the doctor gave us were huge and uncomfortable. I found them and he wanted to try them. We have x-small (youth is on the packaging). He is 6 years old and weighs 47 pounds. He's a little baby and these fit him perfectly. We did have to cut the velcro straps off, but it was easy and no problem.
