Don't worry it won't last long
I really wanted this as it's purple and I needed a new kettle as the one I've had for over 20 years finally broke. Well, I should have listened to the review for that and kept looking. Unfortunately, I have not. It worked for about four months, and then the lid snapped off with a whistle as the part melted. What is a kettle that doesn't whistle? In addition, the pot itself is very light and cheap. Save yourself the hassle and spend more to get a good kettle if you intend to use it often. If you just want one to sit on the stove and be pretty, this will work.
