I installed one of these on our Tritun yesterday. It is easy to install and the SWR is measured fairly accurately over the entire marine range. I haven't had a chance to get signal reports, but I get a lot of NOAA weather stations with this antenna. I cut the coax and installed a new PL-259 connector because I didn't need the full 15 feet of coax. I have found that it can be very difficult to insert the whip's male, twist and lock connector far enough when the whip is fully inserted. Screw, which eased the effort required to attach and detach the whip. It had little effect on the SWR.
