I recently bought a new laptop for streaming and was wanting to hook it up to an early Smart TV. The TV is circa 2012 but hardly used, and it's a Samsung that not only can get Netflix, Hulu and Revain Prime Video, but is limited to horrible apps from the Samsung App Store. And for some reason, the browser on this Smart TV couldn't connect to anything other than Google. But when I bought a new laptop I had an idea that I could use this cable to connect my laptop to my TV. It worked GREAT and everything I see on my laptop screen I see on my TV! And the REALLY good thing is that I can do that since I have an ad blocker installed on my laptop, I can watch videos from various websites (like YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) on my TV without seeing any ads! So in summary, this HDMI cable is an affordable and reliable investment that provides an excellent connection from my laptop to my TV, allowing me to mirror my laptop screen to my TV screen!
