Review on Assembled 0 96Inch Bluetooth Development Transceiver by Eric Hanson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Overall a good product with some inconsistencies

These are HelTec Automation OLED WiFi Lora 32 V2 development boards sold by various vendors on Revain. I previously bought three of these from another seller. One failed so it could only be used for non-WiFi applications (everything else worked fine) and the other two worked perfectly. The only significant difference between these three and the two I'm reviewing here is that these two came with the pins pre-mounted on the board, while the three I bought earlier required the pins to be soldered (not hard, except the pens). closest to the flat OLED cable). I prefer these pre-assembled. In terms of inconsistencies, I mentioned a WiFi bug on one of the boards I've previously purchased, and those two seem to have less sensitive LoRa receivers than the others. In my app, two of them transmit LoRa messages to the third one's monitoring app. I can install any of the sketches on any of the three boards and everything works great; However, when I set the monitor thumbnail to one of the new ones, it only receives messages from one of the remote boards (let's call it Board A) until I bring it very close to another remote board (let's call it Board B) . . The RSSI reported by the monitor application running on the original boards is -85 for messages from board A and -112 for messages from board B. Interestingly, the RSSI reported by the monitor application on new boards is always still -85, but messages from Board B won't appear until I get much closer to Board B. (Sorry I don't have an RSSI when the news comes out.) Strange. If anyone reading this has an idea, I'd appreciate feedback. Overall, I really like the feature set of these little boards and would recommend them. I'm pretty sure that by changing the LoRa spread factor (I'm currently using the default of 7) I can get everyone to get everything.
