Review on πŸš— Dans Auto Liquid Filled 2.5" Large Face Tire Pressure Gauge [60 PSI] - Dual Tyre Chucks for Cars, Bikes, and Motorcycles by Luis Watts

Lifetime quality, but only if the product guarantee can be registered.

This review is primarily about the first impression and I can't make any statements about the durability due to the short period of ownership. I use four other gauges regularly: Moroso 89570 (0 - 100#, angle chuck, fixed dial) for 5 wheel RVs, truck trailers, boat trailers and dual high pressure tires; Joe's Racing 32703 (angle chuck, fixed dial) for automobiles; Accu-gage H60X (straight chuck) for cars, motorcycles and motorcycles; and Accu-gage H100X (straight chuck) for high pressure off-road tires and truck trailer tires. This automatic gauge from Dan's was bought primarily because of three features: liquid fill, swivel at the end of the chuck AND the dial, and a lifetime warranty. On first inspection, the quality of the finish, fittings, hose, dial and lid is very high. The dial is very legible, although it doesn't glow in the dark like Joe's, which may be an issue for some users. My biggest disappointment was the lack of an option to register a product for a lifetime warranty on the seller's website. Without a lifetime warranty, it's not worth $85 in my opinion. I've only used a ball chuck so far. I've found that no matter how intentionally I try, it takes multiple attempts to get the valve stem to make good contact. However, there is no such thing as a false statement – either you get a statement or you don't get it. Unlike all my other pressure gauges, failed attempts are not penalized by air escaping from the valve. Accuracy seems consistent and is within a psi or two compared to my other gauges, my digital gas generator and the custom TPMS on one of my cars. Viewing and contact angles are very comfortable even with a sturdy 17 inch hose. However, the device is too big and the hose is not flexible enough to fit in the glove box of my sports coupe, although that's not a problem with my other cars. The liquid-filled dial cushions the pointer reading well. The hold feature (not present on my Moroso or Joe racing models) is convenient, but depressurization is a slow, non-linear, variable process compared to the controlled progression found on all of my other gauges. Perhaps practice will improve valve contact and bleeding, but I didn't expect this to be a problem. All in all this is a quality instrument, moderately expensive but guaranteed for life, easy to read and easy to use, especially with the double swivel. On the other hand, there are a few subtle operating features that can improve with experience. I hope to resolve the warranty registration issue with the seller via email or phone
