I love this scope. We are new to using a telescope and are very glad we bought this to study with. We've spent hours outside just looking at the night sky! We bought an upgraded lens (Celestron X-cel) but the included lenses are pretty good too, especially if you're just starting out. We used the included downloadable iPhone app to locate the planets (Saturn, Jupiter) and other constellations. The pictures are clear and so wonderful. You can see the rings of Saturn and Titan when conditions are good, although Titan is a small bright spot it's still interesting to see. Seeing the 4 moons of Jupiter and their colors is so exciting. The moon was absolutely beautiful, very detailed. We also bought some filters - the moon filter really helps and the blue filter is great for observing Saturn and Jupiter. We are still learning and we have one mistake - we already want a bigger telescope, but will definitely continue studying the sky with this one! The telescope arrived a day earlier than expected, no problems, well packaged, no damage. Easy to set up. If, like us, you are new to astronomy, I would recommend some great books to accompany your telescope, also available from Revain, to help you explore the world of astronomy. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone!
