It moves the computer mouse up the screen, then all the way to the right, then back down and all the way to the left. It keeps the computer active and prevents it from going to sleep, which can come in handy when you need to be away from your computer while working remotely. I wish it was quieter. I've been using this on a second computer alongside my main workstation and the sound of the wheel turning to move the mouse is distracting. It would also be better if there was a bit more movement randomization (not the same movement over and over). The packaging could have protected the product better, it was in a transparent envelope with no air bubbles or anything.
