ok yes you can make your own but i have to say i can never get my bags working as well as i can't. My bag is just as full and sewn, it closed without a hole so I went back to purchase. They last a long time, although I use mine a lot, so they last a year and a half. If you don't mint much, it might last a decade or more, and it's worth it. It does what it's supposed to do, it cuts out static so my glitter and embossing powder stays right where I want it and my cards look very clean and professional. When you spend hours creating postcards, mini albums, or scrapbook layouts, it pays to have the right tools, and for me, this is a must-have tool.
