Visited a relative who doesn't have a fence. After slightly screwing the stake into the ground, I was able to stay indoors by simply attaching the cord to the dog's collar. As soon as my dog returned to the house, I removed the cord and threw it right outside the door. I repeated this throughout my visit except when we went for a walk. The item is very durable and allows my picky pup to use the bathroom at his own pace. If you have: no fence; Take your pet to the park (or other playground); take your pet to visit friends; or if you need to keep your pet away from certain areas in the garden, this product is for you. I am very happy.
