I've been hesitant to get joycons in unofficial colors for a long time (thought to paint them). These shells turned out to be exactly the shade of pastel pink I was looking for! The texture on them is really nice and soft matte. It was nice that the kit included extra screws and knobs, as well as tools in case you didn't have a triving lying around. I definitely recommend taking your time and watching the video as you progress step by step. It's very easy to make small mistakes due to the nature of small, fiddly internal components. Definitely recommend bringing some tweezers to help with the ribbon cables as it's almost impossible to put them back in place with just your fingers. All in all it took a few hours or so and I'm very happy with the results.
