Review on ๐Ÿ› Revitalize Your Chinchilla's Fur with Lixit Chinchilla Dry Dust Bath by Cyndi Peters

The best dust bath.

For a couple of chinchillas, this tub is awesome! for asthmatics in my household (as well as ease of use and cleaning). It touches on many of those points. The large surface area allows your chinchilla to properly cover itself in dust, much like a large plate or bowl. As far as I know, no other dustpan on the market offers such a large dust removal area to keep dust to a minimum. The large inlet keeps your chinchilla well ventilated even when bathing. A large "window" allows you to see the performance (you'll all see Flippy-Doo, just don't tell me you don't). While the view isn't as revealing as a frosted bathtub or glass tank, it's beautiful and a lot of fun. Based on the angle and opening, I'd say it's as interesting as a bathtub, but not quite like a glass jar. Ease of use couldn't be easier. Shovel, throw the dust into the trash can, give it a quick shake and give it to the chinchilla. They don't have to twist or deform to get dust inside. All my chins have had no problems with it. In addition, the couples have learned that they do not have to take turns! Cleaning is extremely easy. The lid is removable and can be washed and dried. Don't blindly use a bottle brush to remove a stain from the bottom of a container. Definitely the easiest to clean. In terms of durability, my first one lasted two years and is still in use today. I get the second one for 2 reasons: 1) time saving by having 2 baths at once, and 2) I'll let my shredder friend use it as a temporary home for a few months. She eventually wore off some of the hole, but not by much, nowhere near as much as her previous plastic bath when I first bought it. Her daughter, who has a psychotic addiction to plastic (and therefore doesn't have it in her cage), opened up her "wound" a little, and the clips connecting the top and bottom were gnawed on out of curiosity, and are now Abrasive at the fingertips. to touch, it's painful for my overly sensitive hands, so I'm hoping to replace the device. The strongest of all plastic trays. Of course, it's not about a comparison with inedible. Surprisingly, despite the large opening at the top, dust remains relatively contained, which is very important for my asthmatic family. Personally, I think the reason for this is that the dust settles back into the container, and since it covers a large area, there is no need for sudden movements (and dust spots) that will force the dust to be thrown out of the bath. Much of the dust in their cages comes from stalking. For extreme asthmatics, like my family, this is still an issue and I've found that a glass pitcher of pennies minimizes dust emissions, but at the expense of rolling space. I have owned my tub since I was 13 and only use it until early 15, my 6 chins definitely love their tub. The two connected pairs couldn't go back when I inserted the (small, non-Lixit) Penny Jar. One of the singles clearly showed her disdain for smaller accommodations. She was very happy when after a while I allowed her to use Lixit. In general, the bath you need to use will be determined by your needs. Only if you get this make sure they are not allowed to store it permanently like all plastic items. Will definitely buy again.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
