These collars came pre-synced with the remote control which was very helpful. All we had to do was size for our dogs, cut off the access strip and burn the edge we cut to keep it from fraying. We use these collars and remote right out of the box (not yet charged) for 10 days on a single charge. Battery life is great, remote control works great! I love the hand strap and we attached a clip to the strap to attach it to the belt loop. I love the lock feature and the sleep mode because even if it's not locked and accidentally pressing a button, it doesn't fix it right away. If the button is pressed while the remote control is in standby mode, the remote control will wake up from sleep mode. You'll have to push the button again if you really want it right. The charger also allows you to charge 2 devices at the same time, which is very convenient so that you don't have to charge them individually. We've used a different collar to train multiple dogs in the past and some big design flaws we struggled with were accidentally correcting our dogs because the buttons were very sensitive and the remote didn't have a lock feature . This product has completely eliminated these problems. I just wish it came with two remotes so my husband and I always have the remote to hand in case a fix is needed. But I'll be ordering a second one soon.
