This is a very attractive watch. It seems fairly well made and a good size - larger than usual and large numbers are clearly visible throughout the room. The brushed nickel strip gives it a really nice look and matches my new fixtures and fittings. While the hour and minute hands appear black in the listing, they are actually brushed nickel as well. At night, when daylight has gone, the reflection of the electric light makes the hands completely invisible from a normal viewing angle. So at night I have to get up and look at the clock from a very side angle, or at the extra desk clock I bought because of this problem. I never had a problem with my old clock (which is finally dead!) hanging on the wall in the same spot. I'd also like to add that the clock didn't show the correct time when it was first set up. It continued to fall behind. My husband called the tech phone number and the tech suggested trying a different battery (even though the one we were using was brand new). Please don't ask me why, but since then the watch has been keeping accurate time with a second battery. That's been the case for weeks!
