Review on Fostex T50RP MK3 Semi-Open 🎧 Studio Headphones, Designed for Professional Use by Van Chayathon ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality product, the price is commensurate with the quality.

The best headphones in this price range. An easy way to touch isodynamics. They require an amplifier (mandatory!) From 1W per channel, otherwise they don’t work, but just yell. There will be no detail and fat. The amplifier will help the magnets to swing the coil on the membrane into full working condition. Best amps: Topping L30 (and up), Schiit Magni 3+ / Magni Heresy : In the reviews I see a lot of photos where people stick headphones just into a sound card. Guys, your headphones DO NOT work, the isodynamic driver cannot be stirred up by low-power output circuits of audio cards and other devices. Only an amplifier from 1W per channel for your 50 ohms.

Pros
  • The best control possible for the money. The detail and the scene are close to the reference due to the physics of sound production. Professional monitor headphones, after a night of work in them - in the morning no editing is required on the monitors.
Cons
  • The headband will be tight, you need a leather belt mod (there are screws for it) Native ear pads are not suitable for people with a large or protruding auricle - it will hurt. Anyhow, what third-party ear pads will not work either - the sound changes dramatically.
