1. First remove the negative terminal from the battery to avoid accidental short circuit or airbag deployment.2. I recommend installing the included bass blockers. Your speakers will sound cleaner and brighter. This should be set on the positive side. This is of course optional and will add weight to your wires.3. When soldering connections, use fresh solder and flux. Old solder may not work due to oxidation.4. Put heat shrink tubing over the wires before soldering. Then use a heat gun to shrink the tubing over the solder joints.5. It comes with top and bottom brackets for each speaker. I suggest using both to protect your speakers.6. If you use electrical tape, use a quality brand like 3M. Dollar business brands will disintegrate. To speed up installation, I recommend purchasing 14-16AWG spade connectors and 3M (3MRFT)8-tap connectors. Purchase of speaker wire must be 14-16 AWG (recommended)
