I bought this because I already had one of the small bottle openers. one that won't squeeze you and that's perfect for water bottle caps. I really liked it, but after many years it started to wear out a bit. When I saw this set, I thought how perfect it would be for opening jars and bottle caps that don't fit another opener. To my disappointment, other openers require the handles to be closed together to grip the lids tightly enough to rotate them. Due to issues with my CMC joint/arthritis in my thumb I can't grip objects so I needed these tools. To be honest they don't help. It's just as difficult whether I use them or not. It takes a lot of strength to squeeze them together to open the jar. But the smaller one, which doesn't require squeezing, is perfect for opening water bottles and other capped bottles of this size and I can use it with ease. I would not recommend this set and give it two stars as I can use at least one knife.
