This speaker sounds great and saved us money by not requiring a marine stereo. The battery life is great and there is a certain weight to this unit that works great when sitting on the boat console. The bottom is grippy and doesn't slip easily (we use a small bungee before opening the throttle). We place this device on the fishing deck when stopped and it will not move in choppy water. He got wet and sat on the wet deck a couple of times with no problems. Bass on this device may not be enough, but for such a price. nobody complains.
