First of all, this cross stitch is really pretty. I'm so happy with how it looked when it was finished and all the work was worth it! Looking through the reviews before buying, I noticed some issues that came up in the comments and I decided to solve them based on my own experience after completing the project: 1) Instructions that are difficult to follow: I agree admitted it took me a minute or two to figure it out in a system of symbols, numbers, and colors, but I wouldn't say it was *difficult*. For those who get stuck I found it helpful to take a look at the reference sheet they include in the pack (they show the cross stitch design with the corresponding thread numbers in each square so you can make sure you are interpreting the symbols correctly 2) Running out of thread: I'm not very good at cross stitch (I made mistakes, made knots, etc.) but found I had thread left over for each color. Make sure you split the thread as directed - don't use all of the thread when starting to embroider a specific color! project in your life, I can recommend watching a quick simple YouTube video on cross stitch just to get a visual idea of the most basic concepts, but no extensive research is required. That was just my experience, but I was actually very happy with this project. Another little hint: You don't need an embroidery hoop for this. The fabric is stiff enough to work without. I say try!
