I bought this for my 8 year old son's birthday because the description said it was suitable for an 8 to 9 year old. My son is average height for his age and this sweatshirt is oversized. I had another son who is 11 years old tried it on and it's big for him. As a joke, my 5'9 girlfriend tried it on and it fit perfectly. I'm not sure how many 9-year-olds are 5ft 9in, but there can't be too many. That's an absurd size. I even tried shrinking it by cleaning it in hot water and it's still a tent.
