Review on Stay Warm And Dry With KEEN Women'S Greta Chelsea Waterproof Snow Boot by Scott Matute

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Warm but. for my opinion

These boots walk like a pair of moccasins. There is very little torsional support in the soft sole. An example of when you would be aware would be climbing a ladder or walking on rocky gravel. You know exactly where the rung or rock is under foot. They are fine if you are walking on a smooth surface. My opinion is they are very blocky and somewhat unattractive but I purchased them for their warmth rating. They’re rated down to -25°F. They are indeed warm. I had the opportunity to wear them for an extended period of time outdoors at -8°F. I was walking/working on a packed snow surface and coupled with appropriate thermal socks, these boots were very warm at that temp. I also have fantastic winter insoles in these boots. They provide good traction on slippery surfaces. Great on the snow and predictable on ice.In summary, I wish I had not purchased these boots. While they are very warm, they walk funny and are unattractive. I got the olive Timberwolf color (only a color available In my size) and it’s not pleasing at all. I didn’t know Timberwolves were green… So I have a pair of $160 boots that I don’t want to wear because of their appearance unless it’s absolutely necessary based on temperature. If Keen made a more feminine & attractive boot with the same performance characteristics, I would consider purchasing.

Pros
  • Perfect, and very comfortable right out of the box.
Cons
  • Liked the style, but hard to put on and take off. Should have a tab on heel to help get off 🙄
