We don't have hot water right now so we resort to shampoo caps between the big water heating process, using the sink and camping shower, etc. I've been using it from another brand for a while but decided to try this one and I liked it MUCH better. My hair feels really clean and there is no film or residue after using the cap, unlike another brand that left me feeling a bit greasy. There is so much water in the caps that it usually leaks and drips on my face, but I'm fine with that. I will say DO NOT follow the heating instructions on the packaging as this will get too hot. Open the package to deflate and microwave for no more than 30 seconds. I usually let it cool down a bit before even then putting it on.
