They're good, but are they worth the price?

I really like Arteza and had never heard of metallic gouache before so I was looking forward to a lightning sale. I've had some time to play with them and they're pretty cute, but I don't know if they're worth the asking price. The colors are opaque and creamy, just like her other gouaches. And adding mica to colors makes them really shiny and pretty, probably better as an addition to another set than using them for painting alone. But it looks like for the same price as a 24 regular color set you can get half the colors just by adding mica, which isn't an expensive material. I don't know, maybe I'm just a little fed up. But I think you're better off taking your translucent or white flakes and adding them to the side of your colors and getting a regular set instead. You can buy cheap, but in general, frankly, just do it yourself.
