I think Sperry is one of my favorite brands. I usually buy her pumps but decided to try them out as they are a classic. I have 2 Bahamian style pairs and they are completely different. While they are very soft and flexible, they are stiffer and less flexible. Don't get me wrong - it's not bad. I'm just pointing this out. They feel like a much more durable shoe that will last a lot longer than the thinner Bahama model. The canvas is thick - I wouldn't wear them without socks until they are fully fitted - which will take a while. My Bahamas are essentially unstructured shoes, and these definitely are. I lift weights and always need shoes with low compression soles and that's about it. I think I could easily deadlift with them. Then once you're done, have coffee in it. This is a very versatile shoe, especially in summer. I got my pair in a sale deal which made them a no-brainer. I'm glad I did.
