I bought this because the sound quality of my wife's iPhone 6 has deteriorated. The sound in the speaker was distorted and the volume was low, regardless of the phone settings. The product comes with a new speaker, a small screwdriver, a new speaker terminal and 3 new terminal screws. All elements fit perfectly. After installing new parts, however, I was dismayed to find that the new headphones sounded almost exactly the same as the old one that was said to be defective. I did a little research and many have suggested a good headphone mesh cleaning. I used a Q-tip with some rubbing alcohol and vigorously but gently rubbed the speaker mesh on the outside of the phone and then the dry side of the Q-tip. I repeated this several times and quietly, and lo and behold, the volume and quality of the speaker was restored, which I believe is new. Although it seemed I didn't need to replace the speaker, after cleaning the speaker mesh the new speaker worked and sounded great. If you need a new speaker this worked fine for me but you may need a good headphone cleaning.
