PRO: Turn speed is constant for left, right, up and down. The app is easy to use. The setup is one of the easiest I've ever used. The memory switch is incredibly useful. , I can hold it like it's just my phone CONS: you can't switch from L to POV or vice versa after starting recording, it seems you have to restart the device. Some moves have limited range, but that's to be expected. Care must be taken when installing the device, otherwise the additional lever may slip out. The app cannot switch between photos and videos without restarting. When I first opened the box I was just shocked at how much the device actually contained and how light it was on its own. I let it charge for a while and set it up. The in-app instructions were very easy to follow, and the memory switch on the main arm is probably the most helpful element to set up. The tripod was surprisingly solid when I used it for testing, but I'd like to go through it and use it more before I feel anything for it. I took it for a ride at the amusement park where the light weight really came in handy as I could easily hold it over my head to get a good shot. I noticed that the motor was stable in all directions when trying to move it alone, but I had trouble switching from locked to POV once I started recording. I had to restart the device every time. Maybe it's the firmware that needs updating, but I need to find out more. I also noticed that the motor doesn't really change speed when you go from low to medium to high. Again, maybe the firmware, or I just didn't understand something. Further testing for the review video showed that the device has a decent range for what I need in MOST angles. However, the lean back left the range pretty low. Otherwise everything I needed was within easy reach. The phone app opens quickly and has a full guide and how-to, as well as an 'academy' feature. Which is really helpful to know what you need about the device. It connects quickly and offers photo, time-lapse, or video options. Unfortunately I can't switch between the three and use them once I start using one. I usually have to restart the app to switch. All said and done for price, versatility and ease of use. I would rate it 7/10. If firmware/software fixes come out that fix the problems (or I find it's up to the user) I would raise this to a strong 8, easy 9.
